The primary fishery associated with Lander’s Fork Ranch is the approximately one full mile of the Lander’s Fork of the Blackfoot River, winding perfectly through the middle of the Montana ranch. Lander’s Fork is a well kept local secret and a classic Montana stream laced with runs, riffles, and seams leading the fisherman from one hole to the next. This particular stretch is private and loaded with nice sized, isolated, and gullible native cutthroats.

The ranch is also in the heart of storied Montana fly fishing country. The Blackfoot River Valley has been the happy recipient of a great deal of rehabilitation and conservation work over the past 15 years to improve the fishery. Much of this work has included repairs to tributaries of the Blackfoot to improve spawning habitat primarily for cutthroat and bull trout as well as rainbows and browns.
