B Elfland grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In 1988 he graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Business Administration. He then moved to Colorado and began a 9 year career in the ranch and resort industries where he managed a ski lodge in Winter Park and was the managing partner for a historic Colorado guest ranch.
His admiration for the wide open spaces and the abundance of recreational opportunities in Montana inspired his move in 1997. After ranching in central Montana, B settled in Bozeman and guided fly fisherman on southwest Montana’s renowned waters for 7 years. He was licensed in real estate sales in 1999 and earned his broker’s license in 2002. His lifelong recreational interests and professional background in ranching and the resort industries led to a real estate focus in recreational, ranch and investment properties.
Since his boyhood, B’s lifelong passion has been bowhunting. He loves a challenge and has harvested many public land Pope and Young animals throughout the western United States, Canada and Alaska. Whether turkey hunting in eastern Montana in the spring or bugling in a majestic bull elk in the fall, B understands how blessed we are to live in the West and have the opportunity to experience such a wonderful diversity of wild game. He also understands how important it is to future generations to conserve and enhance the habitat that allows fish and wildlife to flourish throughout the western landscape.
B lives in Three Forks, Montana with his wife Brandie and daughter Casey. They own a small ranch property on the Madison River where they raise and train Quarter horses and produce hay while striving to enhance the existing spring creek fishery and natural habitat for whitetail deer, upland birds and waterfowl.
