Dave was born, raised, and educated in the plains of South Dakota. As a boy, he spent many days bird-dogging and fishing walleye with his family. He graduated from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota with a degree in marketing and management.

After college, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado beckoned Dave.  It was in Colorado that he gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry. It made him realize the importance of meeting customers' needs which is vital in attaining client satisfaction. While in Colorado, Dave realized the west had so much to offer in terms of recreational opportunities with its vast amount of open space. A move to California for a few years allowed for a job change in marketing for the building supply industry.  It was great experience, yet he knew he wanted to return back to the mountain regions of the west.  

The state of Idaho captivated Dave's interest with its great open spaces and its plentitude of opportunties in the outdoors. Dave has lived in Idaho for 19 years where he furthered his experience in the hospitality/resort industry and the building industry. These careers led him to a path into real estate with Fay Ranches. Dave started with residential real estate and consulting with Fay Ranches in 2003 and moved on to get his broker's license in 2008. Fay Ranches is the perfect fit for Dave since it allows him to focus on his client's needs as well as being able to share his knowledge and experience with a multitude of outdoor activities. From sharing his favorite chuckar ridge to the trout waters across Idaho and Oregon, Dave ensures that his clients are exposed to whatever it is that piques their interest in the great outdoors.

Dave currently lives in Boise, ID with his wife and two teen-age sons who also share his enthusiasim for the outdoors. Dave stays active in the community as well as staying in touch with his sons' sports by being a baseball ump in the high school ranks.

Dave is passionate about ensuring that the opportunites he has had in the outdoors will be available for future generations along with allowing the traditional western lifestyle to  thrive.
