 Obtaining a love for the outdoors and all of the recreational attributes associated with living in the beautiful West, Ryan has become one of the areas biggest advocates. Living and growing up in Bozeman, MT has provided Ryan with his greatest passions: hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors as well as an understanding of the need for preservation of some of the finest land and river corridors in the U.S. 

Graduating from Montana State University with a degree in Film and Television, Ryan and a partner formed Black Dog Films. Specializing in wildlife film making, Black Dog Films currently has over a dozen films shown on the Discovery Channel. Ryan married his wife Piper, a MT native, in the summer of 2003 and continues to reside in the resplendent setting of the Gallatin Valley. They recently added to their family with the birth of their son, Bodin Noel, born April 25, 2006.

A nod to his entrepreneurial spirit, Ryan has since devoted himself full time to Fay Ranches and the brokering of some of the West’s most beautiful sporting ranches as well as continuing to share in Black Dog Film’s success. An honest and direct individual, Ryan strives for success in each endeavor he has chosen while using the skills necessary to keep complicated transactions with several moving parts running efficiently; traits learned from his experiences of being a film producer as well as a college quarterback.

Ryan has retained his passion for fly-fishing, bow hunting, and bird hunting with his dogs Shiloh, Doc, and Rocky always on hand. Devoted to finding each person their own place in paradise, he wishes everyone the opportunity to experience and share in all that the West has to offer.
