Toby Griffith, Sales Associate
Toby began working in the outdoor industry as a teenager helping his father out with a family wilderness outfitting business in Wyoming. His duties ranged from wrangler to guiding big game hunters. He later attended the University of Wyoming on an academic scholarship where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Marketing. Having a passion for the outdoors, he went back to guiding for several different outfitters throughout the western United States. Then in 1992, he moved to Denver, CO and began working for Wright & McGill, Company [Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle] building fly rods, testing products and managing a marketing incentive program. Years later, he moved back to Wyoming and began working for a well-known international sporting agency, booking hunts and working closely with outfitters and landowners around the world.
Toby’s dedication to accurately represent outfitters and outfitted hunts led him to publish an international hunting magazine and begin a successful company called Outdoor Passport. Having turned over his publishing responsibilities to his partner, Toby began focusing his attention on building his company by offering wildlife management consulting services, specialized booking services to specific North America and International destinations and outfitted big game hunts to Argentina.
In 2002, Outdoor Passport began working closely with Fay Ranches to help enhance their big game hunting property program. Since Fay Ranches was already known to be the top sporting real estate brokerage firm in the country, the enhancement of the big game program only strengthened and solidified their position in the market place. It wasn’t long before Toby and Fay Ranches began working together full time. Toby obtained his real estate license, moved to Montana and now heads up the Billings, MT office.
In addition to having many years of international hunting, fishing and guiding experiences along with his knowledge of the ranching and farming industry, Toby continues to spend a considerable amount of time researching the market to identify sporting ranches for sale throughout the Rocky Mountain region, passing along accurate and updated information to his clients.
