Black Rock Ranch

     The ± 2,168 deeded acres Black Rock Ranch in Idaho, is an operating horse ranch, specializing in the breeding and training of working horses (the largest in the Northwest).  The ranch is located along the south side of the Coeur d’Alene River in Kootenai County, Idaho near the town of Harrison.  The Idaho ranch includes a mixture of pasture, hay ground, timberland and seasonal floodplain.  Improvements include an indoor arena, 16-stall horse barn, stallion barn with attached reception area and guest apartment, employee housing, a lab with breeding and birthing stalls, plus various farm buildings and horse training facilities.  The ranch improvements are on a level to gently rolling bench overlooking Anderson Lake and Coeur d’Alene Lake.  The topography of the acreage compliments the current ranch setup with the lowlands near the river/lakes providing a source of pasture and hay which compliments the horse breeding and training business. 

     Black Rock Ranch is also approximately 17 miles directly south of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and 26 miles southeast of Spokane, Washington.  This area is known for its scenic beauty with several large, natural lakes and an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities and is a popular summer resort and tourist area.
