River enhancement by creating well placed holes, natural riffles and structures built into the creek would help hold these larger trout in the creek throughout the summer months.
The Henry’s Fork River, long recognized as one of the premier fishing rivers in the country, is only 15 minutes away, providing year-round fishing due to seasonal hatches that take place on the river. The Fall River, Warm River, and Teton River are within 15-30 minutes from the ranch and offer fantastic fly fishing opportunities. The South Fork of the Snake River is approximately an hour south with the Jackson Hole area fisheries about 90 minutes south. Head to the north and you have the incredible upper reaches of the Henry’s Fork, along with the Madison River and Henry’s Lake.

Conant Creek Ranch in Idaho has an amazing array of habitat that is home to whitetail deer, mule deer, moose, and elk during the migration, along with the occasional bear and mountain lion. The upland bird populations consist of Hungarian partridge, ruffed grouse and sharp-tail grouse. The river is a natural flyway for waterfowl mainly consisting of mallards and teal. The Targhee National Forest offers excellent big game hunting with animals coming out of Yellowstone National Park on the annual migration.
