Lander's Fork Ranch

Situated just downstream of the Scapegoat Wilderness along the Lander’s Fork of the Blackfoot River, Lander’s Fork Ranch is a classic Montana landscape. The ranch consists of approximately 200± acres of timbered mountain ridges, beautiful rolling meadows and riparian habitat along roughly one full mile of the Lander’s Fork. The ranch spans hill-top to valley-bottom with incredible panoramic views of the Scapegoat Wilderness and the far upper reaches of the Blackfoot River Valley. The ranch is located near the small town of Lincoln, Montana, and just over an hour drive to the urban amenities available in the historic Montana capital city of Helena and the university town of Missoula. Lander’s Fork provides unsurpassed peace and quiet, and a genuine end-of-the-road lifestyle. For the sportsman, the ranch is well populated by good numbers of elk, deer, and moose which translates into some excellent big game hunting opportunities right on the property. The most impressive feature of the ranch is Lander’s Fork itself, boasting a strong, private, and relatively unknown native cutthroat trout fishery. This stretch of Lander’s Fork receives little pressure due to its geographic location, isolated from the lower stretches by a large, cascading waterfall just south of the property line. The waterfall and private property downstream make accessing the stream nearly impossible for members of the public. The result is a healthy population of cutthroat trout that rarely see an artificial fly, and as a result grow to healthy sizes mostly in the 10”-15” with some getting up to 20”±.
