Chuck Davison has been with Fay Ranches over 11 years and has been involved in numerous ranchland purchases and sales in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. He has represented both the buyer and the seller covering an entire spectrum from 40 acre family retreats to sprawling 25,000 acre legacy ranches. Chuck believes his best work is done representing his buyers – specifically the buyer who is not quite sure of exactly what they are looking for. “ It is very rare for someone to buy a ranch they choose from a pile of brochures,” Chuck states. “Through the years of continual change in personalities and search criteria, I have honed my skills to interpret the buyer’s wants and needs, and then search out the perfect property for them. They are in awe of the panoramic views the land has to offer, and can put in perspective what they like and don’t like when we visit these ranches.”
“Whatever it takes” is Chuck’s motto when representing a client, and he is willing to pull out all the stops and utilize his extensive network of contacts to acquire the best possible outcome. He recalls some of his more memorable transactions, such as the Bullis Creek Ranch deal in Paradise Valley- so full of twists and turns it became a bit of a folk tale around the office. While representing the buyer on the Sun Ranch, one of the biggest and most well-known ranches in the Madison Valley, the sale became memorable as the client became a dear friend. “At the end of the day, it's the relationships that I treasure most", Chuck believes. “I appreciate stepping back to watch their life’s journey expanded out West, and to show them all the things I love about Montana. This truly is what I love most about my job.”
Chuck grew up in Riverton, WY and attended college in Laramie, Wyoming. Thinking he would never leave his beloved Wyoming, Chuck has been in Bozeman, MT for 20 years now, and loves what the state has to offer. Beyond work, his family and the outdoors are Chuck’s main passions. He enjoys “time with my girls” – his wife Jenny and daughter, Mikayla. They are his fly fishing, hunting, horseback riding and skiing buddies. Jenny is a native to the Bozeman area and attended Montana State University, majoring in Business Marketing. Her family has been in the farm and ranching business for decades. Their daughter has been dancing since age 3, loves to play any sport, especially skiing in the Bridgers and riding horses in the 4-H program.
With the constant seasonal changes, Chuck is either out with his family or clients doing what he loves to do, and there is “never a dull moment!”
