John Anderson grew up in the ranching country of the Klamath Basin, Oregon. John’s family managed a cattle/hay operation and ran a private business introducing him at a young age to a good work ethic, ranch life, and cultivating the land.
Instilled with a love of ranching and a deep desire to work with natural resources, John attended Oregon State University earning an Agricultural Science degree in 1996 with a minor in fisheries and wildlife focusing on range land management and water rights. Subsequently, he received a Post Baccalaureate in Civil Engineering. In 1998 John began his real estate career in Willamette Valley, concentrating on selling recreational properties and helping land developers find suitable projects. In 2006 he was awarded the top 1% of real estate sales in the entire state, closing over $30 million. In 2014 John was nominated Top Agent in Oregon.
Longing to get back to his roots, John purchased a small farm to raise cattle and horses. During his leisure time, John loves to hunt, fish, camp, hike and ride horses into wilderness areas with his son Joshua.
John also worked as a guide in Idaho on the edge of the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness. Under John’s tutelage, his clients learned how to spot the different habitat types for specific game, ecotones, and the ecology associated with our natural resources.
Selling ranches and large recreational properties is his dream. John’s knowledge and love of the outdoors is contagious. Purchasing a ranch requires a lot of due diligence and John helps find the information necessary for his clients to make an informed decision. Sellers appreciate John’s approach, because he asks the right questions to find the most marketable attributes of a property achieving the highest possible sales price.
John looks forward to continue helping his buyers grasp their dreams and his sellers maximize their investment.
