In celebration of the art and life of Charles M. Russell, his contemporaries, and ensuing generations, which depict and focus on the culture, life, and country of Russell’s West, Fay Ranches, Inc supports the exhibition and sale to benefit the C.M. Russell Museum as presenting sponsor of the First Strike Friday Night Live Auction, March 18, 2016, at the Mansfield Convention Center in Great Falls, Montana.
The First Strike Friday Night Auction will feature 40 artworks by today’s top trending Western artists and will take place Friday, March 18, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
First Strike Friday Night focuses solely on works by contemporary artists. The event was created to encourage participation by trending artists who hold the promise of future greatness. Both experienced collectors and burgeoning bidders will have the opportunity to meet the artists in a casual, lively atmosphere full of music, food, and fun. Musical entertainment was provided after the auction by Nashville recording artist Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band.
Tickets to the First Strike Friday Night Auction are $40 for museum members and $50 for non-members and can be purchased by calling the museum at 406-727-8787.
The Exhibition and Sale to benefit the C.M. Russell Museum will continue throughout the weekend with an Educational Symposium presented by D.A. Davidson in the Missouri Room at the Mansfield Convention Center, free to the public from 9:00 a.m.-Noon on Saturday, March 19, 2016. For the experienced art collector of Western Art, The Russell Live Auction features contemporary art plus significant historical works in a competitive bidding atmosphere. This evening, presented by BNSF Railway, is a must-attend event for collectors from around the world and will begin at 4:30 pm at the Mansfield Convention Center Saturday, March 19, 2016.
