Located in Oregon’s High Desert, Glass Butte Ranch is  15,326 ± acres of deeded land, which, combined with the BLM permit provides room enough to run 450± cows.  This is a desert, year-round cattle operation.  There is no irrigated hay ground.  Stock water is provided using some pipelines from wells, stock water ponds, developed springs and water truck hauling.  The grazing permit is private and intermingled with much of the deeded land.  There are 4,346± AUM’s of BLM.  Permit dates run from 4/1 to 3/28. The mentioned AUM number does not include the exchange of use. The permit is currently part of the GI Grazing Association. AUM’s are calculated by the percentage of deeded to federal land inside the permit. Any information concerning the BLM grazing permit is to be verified through the Prineville BLM office.   The ranch is easily accessible off of Highway 20, 75 miles east of Bend and 55 miles west of Burns, Oregon.  The Glass Butte Ranch is a very efficient cattle operation with a huge deeded base. Improvements are minimal and the price will reflect some of the least expensive private ground to sell for a number of years.
