His legal background as a contract and real estate lawyer adds a sophisticated edge to his negotiations, ensuring complex deals are handled with precision and confidence. Robb has brokered some of the largest and most high-profile ranch sales in the industry, including the record-breaking $37 million Bismarck Trail Ranch transaction, the largest ranch deal in South Dakota’s history. A fifth-generation cattleman from South Dakota, Robb’s expertise is deeply rooted in the traditions of ranching. Growing up on his family’s ranch, he developed a profound connection to the land and the Western way of life, a legacy proudly showcased at the Tri-State Museum in Belle Fourche, displaying his ancestors’ saddles. After pursuing higher education on a football and track scholarship in Texas, Robb attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, where he honed his skills in contract and real estate law. His diverse background offers a unique perspective on real estate transactions, combining legal acumen with hands-on knowledge of ranch management and land stewardship.
Robb’s dedication to the agricultural community goes beyond his business endeavors. He is an active member of the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association and contributes to the State and Federal Lands Steering Committees. In addition, Robb serves on the board of the Colorado FFA Foundation, helping guide the future of agriculture through mentorship and support for the next generation of farmers and ranchers. Whether negotiating land deals or advocating for policies that benefit landowners, Robb is a recognized leader in his field.
In his personal life, Robb stays closely connected to his ranching roots. He can often be found on horseback, moving cattle through the scenic landscapes of Colorado and South Dakota. His passion for the land and ranching is matched only by his love of the outdoors—he’s an avid archery hunter and has been a pro staff member for several prominent hunting companies for over 15 years. This hands-on experience gives Robb a unique understanding of landowners' needs when buying or selling their properties.
Robb and his wife, Wendy, live on a small horse property in Northern Colorado, where they enjoy a quiet life surrounded by the land they cherish. He is a member of the Roundup Riders of the Rockies and enjoys archery hunting or pushing his cows around on horseback in his free time. Their son, Brady, is an Animal Science major at Colorado State, holds a degree in Animal Science from Colorado State, and works as an Animal Educator at Animal Kingdom in Disney World, furthering the family’s deep connection to agriculture.
Charity and giving back are extremely important to Rob. He and his wife, Wendy, founded Hunter’s Dream for a Cure, named after their late son Hunter. The foundation has raised over $2 million for research on pediatric neurological disease and programs for special needs children and their families.
