While growing up in a small timber and farming community and later living at the southern end of Puget Sound, Trina engaged in a variety of outdoor activities. Going to the mountains included trail riding, hiking, and snow skiing in the winter. Visiting the many rivers, lakes, and coastal beaches had water skiing and clam digging. While living near Puget Sound, Trina belonged to the South Sound Sailing Society and Olympia Yacht Club and spent several years competing in sailboat races.
While still attending high school, Trina worked part-time for a law firm. This began a 30+ year career in the legal and judicial field. Working in a Prosecutor’s Office, the Attorney General’s Office, the Thurston County Superior Court, and the Administrative Office of the Courts, Trina has had exposure to all types of litigation, including civil litigation, land disputes, and land use petition act cases. During this time, she also invested personally in real estate, focusing on preserving and renovating older homes.
Trina enjoys traveling and has spent time in France, London, Mexico, Hawaii, Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, and many places in the United States. Her previous job with the State of Washington took her to many remote locations within the state. When at home, she enjoys home improvement projects and spending time with her two rescue cats, Pistol and Isabelle.
