Fay Ranches Enjoys Henry’s Fork Days
The Henry’s Fork Foundation held its annual fundraising dinner on the banks of the legendary Henry’s Fork River on Harriman Ranch at Last Chance, Idaho, during the weekend festivities of June 16-17. Newly minted Henry’s Fork Foundation Board Member and Fay Ranches’ Chattanooga, Tennessee land broker, George “Mac” E. McGee IV, rallied the Fay Ranches crew to come down and support this worthy cause.
Mike DeShore, John Anderson, Greg Fay, Curtis Ferney, and Dave Halgerson, all of whom are brokers for Fay Ranches, joined the annual pilgrimage to this hallowed ground of angling for a weekend of good friends, good fishing, and raising money for a good cause.
This event is always a big occasion because it coincides with the opening of fishing the fabled spring creek water of the Henry’s Fork as it flows through the Harriman Ranch, where anglers come from all over the country & world seeking the reward of enticing the very large & selectively feeding rainbow trout to grab their precisely presented dry flies.
The Henry’s Fork Foundation (HFF), based out of Ashton, Idaho, is the only organization whose sole purpose is to conserve, protect, and restore the unique fisheries, wildlife, and aesthetic qualities of the Henry’s Fork and its watershed. From the founding of the HFF in 1984 by Bill Manlove and a small group of angler friends to the comprehensive ongoing efforts of a strong board of directors and experienced, hard-working staff of today, the Henry’s Fork Foundation never rests from its mission to be the voice & steward of the River. While there have been great improvements & successes along the way, there will always be the need for the HFF’s work to ensure its quality of existence because, as we all know, conditions & circumstances influencing the Henry’s Fork and all other watersheds are always changing & evolving.
Supporting the HFF is a direct investment into one of the richest natural resources & fisheries of our country. A big thanks to Mac for donating his time & efforts to help insure this amazing fishery continues to delight anglers for generations to come.
