This fully custom mountain residence is tucked in a very private location in the shadow of the Tetons. From the beginning of the project, the owners were very thoughtful in their need for a highly functional family retreat and they assembled a great team to deliver the project. Peter Zimmerman Architects, Peace Design, and Yellowstone Traditions worked together from positioning the home site through final landscaping to make sure every detail of this home was both functional and beautiful.

Materials used to create an authentic historic appearance include reclaimed hard wood hand hewn, cedar shingle roofing, flared base log columns, reclaimed plank siding.  Montana moss rock field stone was utilized for the masonry veneer, with a “sawtooth” detail at the top of each fireplace.

MID-WEST RANCH

A main house, two guesthouses, garage, arena, and stables comprise this 175,000-acre mid-west ranch. Hand-hewn timbers, aged wood, dry stack masonry stone arches, rusted metal, and antique stone pavers all reflect an authentic western spirit, while a Chinese multi-colored slate roof lends refreshing eclecticism to the property.
