Dave was born, raised, and educated in the plains of South Dakota. As a boy, he spent many days bird-dogging and fishing walleye with his family. He graduated from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota with a degree in marketing and management.
After college, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado beckoned Dave. It was in Colorado that he gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry. It made him realize the importance of meeting customers’ needs, which is vital in attaining client satisfaction. While in Colorado, Dave realized the West had so much to offer in terms of recreational opportunities with its vast amount of open space. A move to California for a few years allowed for a job change in marketing in the building supply industry. It was a great experience, yet he knew he wanted to return back to the mountain regions of the West.
The State of Idaho captivated Dave’s interest, with its great open spaces and its plentitude of opportunities in the outdoors. Dave has lived in Idaho for 23 years where he furthered his experience in the hospitality/resort industry and the building industry. These careers led him to a path into real estate with Fay Ranches. Dave started with residential real estate and consulting with Fay Ranches in 2003, and moved on to get his broker’s license in 2008.
