Farm & Ranch Sales
Licensed in ID, OR

Dixie Barry is a ranch broker and rural estate agent in Idaho and Oregon, specializing in working farms, ranches, horse properties, rural residences, and recreational tracts. She joined Fay for their boots-on-the-ground experience, integrity in the saddle, love for the land, and the people scratching a living from it. She embodies the Western spirit and hopes to “Make America Cowboy Again.”

Reigning from the Great Basin of northern Nevada, Dixie comes from a fourth-generation ranching family of Italian and Basque immigrants that settled in Paradise Valley, where the “Whisky is for drinking, and the water is for fighting.” Dixie grew up working alongside her grandparents and folks, learning the ropes at a young age and the discipline it takes to be a good steward of the land and the animals. It was on her family ranch that Dixie grew a love and a deep connection to the land, the livestock, and the people.

Growing up on a cattle ranch also meant that rodeo would become second nature. Miss Dixie earned herself a full-ride scholarship to college rodeo at New Mexico State University (NMSU) in Las Cruces, where she went on to win the Grand Canyon Regional Championship title and made her rounds to the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming, three times. She graduated from NMSU as an Academic All- American Athlete recipient with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, minoring in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship.

After college, Dixie and her college rodeo sweetheart, Kurtis Barry, rodeo'd their way through the Western States to the tune of Johnny Cash's "I've Been Everywhere," Nevada, Washington, New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, Wyoming, and Montana. In the Spring of 2016, they married and bought an old farmhouse with acreage. They still enjoy rodeoing and roping and hope to one day build a fifth-generation "herd."

Dixie is passionate about preserving our ag lands and the western heritage. Her roots in the ag community run deep; she has worked at the Farm Service agency as a USDA Farm Service technician representing the local farmers and ranchers with farm programs in the Treasure Valley. Dixie has also worked as a crop insurance adjuster for six years traveling around Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, assisting producers in their time of crop loss. She is a member of the Realtors Land Institute, adding value to her clients with knowledge and resources only a land specialist can provide to their clients.

Groups and events Dixie is involved with:

Pendleton Cattle Barons
Art of the Cowgirl
World Series of Team Roping
Western States Ranch Rodeo Association
Idaho Young Farmers & Ranchers Farm Bureau Federation
American Farmland Trust
Idaho Cattlemen’s Association

Whether it be a farm, ranch, horse property, recreational tract, investment ground, rural residence, or a legacy property for your family, Dixie has invested in the land and the people and is ready to connect you!
