Elk Ridge Ranch is one of the most dramatically beautiful ranches in Montana. Tucked up against the base of the majestic Beartooth Mountains, the ranch enjoys stunning views and proximity to one of the wildest and most beautiful blocks of roadless land in the United States, the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness, home to Granite Peak, Montana’s highest peak, measuring 12,807± feet. The Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness is bordered by Yellowstone National Park and extends south beyond Jackson, Wyoming. Encompassing an estimated twenty million acres of some of the wildest country in the world, known as the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, this is one of the most wildlife-rich areas on earth. Not surprisingly, the big game, including very high-quality elk, hunting in this area is tremendous. Additionally, Elk Ridge Ranch adjoins Forest Service land, providing access to thousands of acres of National Forest/Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. Elk Ridge Ranch boasts lush creek bottom, stands of conifers, groves of quaking aspen, and rolling meadows, as well two forks of Fiddler Creek that run through the property.
