Clayton C. Jeffords is a Southeast land broker and recreational sporting enthusiast who truly covers land from coast to coast. From a very early age, all Clayton wanted to do was be outdoors. Even before he was school-aged, you could find him playing in the yard or roaming the trees with a trusty Red Rider, always playing out an epic adventure. Family vacations consisted of trips out west to ski, strap fly rods to horses, and other outdoor pursuits. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Clayton spent his winters chasing waterfowl on the Mississippi Flyway, accompanied by a healthy dose of bluegrass and country classics. Summers were spent on the cold, clear streams of the Appalachian Mountains. Raised by a dry fly purist, Clayton drifted off in early adolescence to throwing wooly boogers and large nymphs to hungry browns, and honing the waterfowl skills passed down to him through generations of family, and great mentors. Today, the outdoor life drives his family, business, and other passions. For Clayton, there is always something new to learn and an off-the-beaten path to take.

Clayton received a Bachelor of Science in political science at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, which allowed for many hunting and fishing opportunities. He also received a Master’s degree in business administration from Auburn University in Alabama. Clayton’s professional career started in 2001, managing investment portfolios for discerning clients at Merrill Lynch Global Private Client Group. In 2002, he made his first real estate investment and began investing in remodels and rentals in Nashville. After others sought his advice on real estate and construction, Clayton opened Richland Real Estate Advisors in Nashville, and, in 2006, opened Richland Remodeling. Always an entrepreneur, he dove full-time into real estate, creating a private client model, which he felt the investment, residential, and commercial market needed. Clayton is passionate about real estate of all types!

You can find Clayton and his family anywhere from New Mexico to Montana, Tennessee, Georgia, and all over the Southeast in pursuit of wildlife, and a life influenced by the wild. Clayton and his wife, Dr. Catherine Jeffords, a talented sportswoman in her own right, are raising their two boys, Colton and Henry, on their farm in Belton, South Carolina, in the foothills of the Appalachians. When the boys aren’t practicing their growing passions with decoys and duck calls, or holding a fishing rod, you’ll find them snuggled up with the family’s bird dogs, Covey and Bud.

Clayton is excited to work with buyers and sellers, combining his passion for nature with complex real estate transactions. For many, looking for that farm, ranch, fishing, or hunting property (or even just a weekend retreat), can be intimidating. Making that dream a reality for his clients is what drives Clayton. He is excited about being a part of the Fay Ranches Southeast team, having already formed a strong bond with the Fay Ranches team. Clayton and his team are committed to excellent and ethical business practices, conservation, and land stewardship. No matter the lifestyle property you need help with, Clayton loves the journey, and the hunt.

Seasons of the Southeast – Spring

Winter in the Southeast always leaves us wanting more, one more duck hunt in that flooded corn field or timber bottom, one more chase in the field where geese feed, one more day at duck camp with friends and family. Snow goose season still lingers, while quail season is over, and the weather is warming. […]
