Dallenbach Ranch, Frying Pan River Colorado

Fay Ranches is pleased to announce the sale of Colorado's Dallenbach Ranch in two parcels, the Dodge City Parcel and the Homestead Parcel. The “Dodge City” parcel is comprised of 60 acres with five small western style cabins in the meadow along the river.  This property has about 1200 feet of both sides of the Frying Pan River, and is bordered on it’s entire eastern boundary by CO Division of Wildlife property that includes over a mile of river downstream from the ranch.

The Homestead Parcel is 70 acres and has the original cabin dating back to the 1890’s along with the main Colorado ranch home, two cabins right on the water and other buildings.  It has about 800 feet of both sides of the river and a beautiful 7 acre irrigate field on a bench 300 feet above thee river providing magnificent views up and down the canyon.

Rainbow trout caught fly fishing in Colorado on the Dallenbach Ranch with Chip LenihanWe took several nice rainbows and browns on caddis pupae and emergers under the surface fly fishing last Saturday.  This portion of the river is 12 miles downstream from the dam and fishes more like a traditional freestone than the tailwater sections upstream.  This section of the river has dramatic red sandstone cliffs that drop right into the water that the “big boys” like to hang under.
