Interview with Dave Halgerson, Ranch Broker in Boise, Idaho

Hello my name is Dave Halgerson. I'm a ranch broker with Fay Ranches based out of Boise Idaho. I got involved with the Fay group many years ago. I knew Greg back in Colorado and I hunted and fished and enjoyed the outdoors with him and the whole group. We have a lot of the same passions. It's been a lot of fun. I work the Idaho and Oregon areas exclusively

I enjoy being a ranch broker for the fact that it gets you out into the wild land and beautiful country. Some of the ranchers that I've met as well as some of the buyers that come in. They're just wonderful people to work with. Some great stories and it's a very enjoyable time working with some of these folks and seeing the type of land they have and experiencing fishing the hunting and what they enjoy for the future. These folks are coming out, a lot of times, they don't understand exactly what they are looking for. When they see it they know it. But you have got to listen to them and show them something out of the box. When they see it they will definitely tell you. You have got to listen and also they love the fact that you enjoy the outdoors and the enthusiasm that goes along with hunting and fishing. Showing them something they have always wanted to do but have never had the time to do it. It's very pleasurable to see the enjoyment they get and see how much fun they can have with the total ranch experience

Working with Fay Ranches has been a great experience. The people that Fay has within is such a great knowledge-base there and a passion for the outdoors it fits very well with what I enjoy in my free time. For being able to put that together with a profession has been a wonderful time and a great experience
