Alright I'm James Esperti and I started working at Fay Ranches back in 1997. Greg Fay was on his own at that point and asked if I wanted to join Fay Ranches with him. Knowing what his mission statement was and conservation angle and what was important to Greg I figured it was a good idea to explore it further. My background, being raised in Jackson Wyoming, was very conservation based not only from a family standpoint but personally. Conservation was very important to me. I grew up hunting and fishing and enjoying the outdoors. So I thought it was a good fit and appreciated the angle he was taking on the market.
I've been in Montana for 20 years and selling ranches for about 13. It's a great lifestyle, we get to work with great people and our clients are great folks. Everybody here that works under the Fay umbrella is fantastic. We recreate together, we hunt together. It's a great environment to make a living and meet new folks.
Probably the most enjoyable aspect of a job is to sit and listen to what our clients goals are in a ranch and to try to make that perfect fit in the ranch market. Knowing the market like we do and what is available. We usually have a handful of ranches that come to mind that we can present. If not we know what they are looking for and really go through a process while trying to be efficient with everybodies time. Their's a lot of windshield time on the road going from state to state. Or a lot of miles within one state. In the real estate world it's a very rare model to have what we have. We truly do have each others backs and try to help each other and in every way possible give the very best service to our sellers and our buyers.
The most important thing for me in this business is the relationships and to have a good time with it. Folks that come out here are looking to have a good time. Whatever it may be fishing, hiking hunting kayaking or mountain biking. The key element here is finding a good value, a good fit with a ranch property for them and making the whole experience an enjoyable one. And making the whole ranch experience an enjoyable one after the process.
