Jim Vidamour, ALC
Licensed in: CO, NM
Jim Vidamour, ALC is a Principal Broker licensed in the states of Colorado and New Mexico. Jim’s family settled in rural Boulder County, Colorado in the late 1960s, where he attended high school and the University of Colorado Boulder. Family weekends were reserved for hunting, fishing, camping, and trying to get lost on the backroads of Colorado and New Mexico. He has spent many years missing easy shots, tangling fishing lines, and getting bucked off horses he shouldn’t have been on.
Jim permanently relocated to Colorado from Florida in the early 2000s, after a twenty-eight-year career that included Director of Tennis, Marina & Fitness at ITT Corporation, and Director of Tennis for the city of Daytona Beach. ITT Development Corporation was, at the time, the largest land developer in Florida. While in Florida, Jim spent many days in a single outboard engine boat thirty to fifty miles offshore, trolling for striking fish, or bottom fishing for grouper and snapper. During this time, Jim was a US Coast Guard licensed captain and was also USPTA-certified tennis professional for thirty-three years.
Jim lives and headquarters out of La Veta, Colorado, a small rural ranching town of about 800 permanent residents, located in Huerfano County, Colorado. The town, which has no traffic lights or nationally franchised businesses, has recently seen an influx of artists, and baby boomer retirees. Las Animas, an adjacent county, boasts some of the best elk hunting in Colorado. La Veta and Huerfano County also boast several large elk herds and plenty of mule deer. It’s not unusual for Jim to see a herd of ten to twenty mule deer outside his office window. The La Veta location allows Jim to easily travel around Colorado, and south into New Mexico. New Mexico towns like Santa Fe, Mora, Taos, Red River Raton, and Eagle Nest, are easy drives. Drives to Colorado towns such as Pueblo, Trinidad, Colorado Springs, Alamosa, Salida, and many other towns and cities are just as easy.
